The blower directly relies on the motor to drive the rotor to drive the blades to rotate. When the blades rotate, air is sucked in from the air inlet, and the centrifugal airflow formed by it is blown out by the front mouth of the fan. When the air passes, if the heating wire installed on the heating bracket in the air nozzle has been energized and becomes hot, hot air will be blown out; if the selection switch does not cause the heating wire to be energized and heated, cold air will be blown out. This is the purpose of the hair dryer for drying and shaping.
The selector switch on the handle of the hair dryer is generally divided into three levels, that is, the off position, the cold air position, and the hot air position, and it is accompanied by a white, blue, and red sign. Some blower handles are also equipped with a motor speed switch for selecting the amount of air volume and the temperature of the hot air. Various types of hair dryers are equipped with a rotatable circular air conditioning hood at the back or side. Rotating the hood to adjust the cross-section of the air inlet can adjust the speed of the conveyed air and the temperature of the hot air.

According to the air supply method, there are centrifugal blowers and axial blowers. The centrifugal type relies on the motor to drive the wind blades to rotate, so that the air entering the blower gets inertial centrifugal force and continuously exhausts the air. Its disadvantage is that the exhausted wind does not all flow through the motor, and the motor heats up higher; the advantage is that the noise is lower.
The axial-flow motor drives the blades to rotate, pushing the air entering the blower to flow axially, and continuously exhausting air. Its advantage is that all the exhausted wind flows through the motor, the motor has good cooling conditions, and the insulation is not easy to age; its disadvantage is that the noise is relatively large.
According to the materials used in the housing, there are metal type hair dryers and plastic type hair dryers. Metal hair dryers are rugged and can withstand higher temperatures. Plastic hair dryers are lightweight and have good insulation properties, but they are easy to age and have poor high temperature resistance.
